Para swimming: records and emotions for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

Paris once again offered an exceptional setting for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, taking full advantage of the facilities made available by the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Paralympic sports won the hearts of the French who came out in droves to cheer on the athletes and cheer on their exploits!

The system of grouping athletes with similar challenges in the same categories enabled the competition to reach new heights. The setting for the para-swimming events was the same as for the swimming competitions: the magnificent Paris La Défense Arena and its two Myrtha Pools adapted for para-athletes attracted an enthusiastic audience.

The simple, elegant design of Myrtha’s ground-level overflow chute made getting in and out of the water as easy as possible for all Paralympic swimmers. An illustration of the accessibility of Myrtha pools to all swimmers.

This edition of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games saw the participation for the first time of our athlete Agathe Pauli, who swam in three different disciplines, always qualifying for the finals and setting a new French record in the 400-meter freestyle S9. Next step for the company: dismantling the pools, a legacy of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games!
