Singapore Green Building Council certifies Myrtha’s green innovations
Myrtha Pools has achieved three major certifications from the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) for its innovative products designed for the competitive, leisure and wellness pool markets. Singapore is a true regional technology leader, and the SGBP certification is the Southeast Asia’s leading sustainability standard. For Myrtha, these SGBP certifications are an important building block for development in this area.
“This moment brings special significance,” explained Myrtha Pools CEO Roberto Colletto, “as Myrtha technologies have now been certified by an international product standard for the first time. The SGBP certification, one of the most advanced in the world, confirms our leadership and commitment to sustainability, efficiency and environmentally friendly solutions. I’m proud that we are the only pool manufacturer to have a product certificate in Singapore in the construction industry.”
Myrtha products have been awarded the most important and prestigious green building certifications for years: LEED, BREEAM and Green Star. However, the Singapore Green Building Product (SGBP) is unique in that three Myrtha technologies have been certified by a product standard that evaluates the sustainability of the product’s life cycle, from the extraction of raw materials to production, its use and end-of-life phase. Myrtha stainless steel panels have been awarded a ‘Very Good’ rating, recognising their efficiency and environmental responsibility. In addition, both the Myrtha Evolution membrane and the Myrtha Evolution anti-slip membrane received the prestigious ‘Excellent’ rating. SGBP’s rigorous assessment that certified Myrtha products deliver superior performance in terms of sustainability, safety and efficiency.
The SGBP certifications obtained by Myrtha Pools are particularly relevant for projects in Singapore and in neighbouring regions which have similar environmental conditions. Attaining this approval once again emphasizes Myrtha’s leadership in providing sustainable solutions for swimming pool and spa construction.
