Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatic Centre
The Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatic Complex, along with the adjacent Thomas A. Robinson Stadium, have been two key elements for Bahamian sporting events for more than two decades. In particular, the aquatic center hosts university athletes, sports clubs and some of the most important local, national and international swimming competitions.
In this scenario, the center took a step forward and renovated the two obsolete pools thanks to the excellence of the sophisticated Myrtha Skin technology, which consists of an exclusive coating composed of 1 millimeter of stainless steel and PVC capable of offering the advantages of Myrtha technology, while providing an anti-slip treatment and a perfect waterproofing combined with unique underwater visibility.
To improve the overall quality of the structure, the competition pool has also been equipped with the removable headwall and Myrtha starting blocks, while the learn-to-swim pool offers the best comfort thanks to the Myrtha Soft Walk, a special soft floor that makes the walk in water comfortable and safe.
The aquatic center, thanks to its new modern facility, is now a key location that guides Nassau’s sports community towards innovation and growth in swimming.
