Borteyman Sports Complex

Accra, Ghana

The Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra, Ghana, was constructed for the 13th Pan-African Games. It is a state-of-the-art facility, the most significant in the country, which will become a leading sports university for tomorrow’s champions.

Myrtha Pools was selected to design and construct the aquatic center’s two swimming pools, which were built to last and will serve as a valuable asset to the facility.

The first facility is an Olympic-size, 10-lane pool, while the second is 25 meters in length and is suitable for short-tub training and beyond. Both facilities were constructed with Myrtha Track Starts, a starting block designed to provide swimmers with enhanced stability during the “track-start”.

The final stage of the process is the Myrtha Filtration Sand Filtration System, which progressively retains solids as water flows through the bed of granular material.
