Lucan Recreation Center

Ontario, United States

The most complex projects are the ones that show off the flexibility and quality of Myrtha Pools’ work the best. The Lucan Recreation Centre in Ontario, Canada, is a great example. It’s been through a major renovation thanks to the Italian company’s RenovAction technology, and it’s no exception.

Built in 1964, the 25-meter pool has been vital to the local community and to this day, thanks to renovations and upgrades, is part of a sports facility that serves about 6,000 people.

The original design was enhanced with the addition of a side entrance that is also useful for people with reduced mobility. The refurbished rectangular pool features stainless steel panels installed on the concrete walls. This was completed with Myrtha Soft Walk, a unique pool bottom composed of a soft closed-cell foam mat that can be placed on the bottom of the pool to enhance the experience of walking in the water. Additionally, the pool features a non-slip bottom at the lowest point.
