Quakertown Community Pool
2004
Updated community swimming pool facility designed to provide the latest in swimming pool innovation and technology to a small and pleasant Pennsylvania community located approximately 45 minutes Northwest of Philadelphia. Facility improvements also include all new mechanical systems, updated men and women’s dressing areas, and new snack bar. Impact to existing site and facility was minimized by utilizing most of the existing walls and floors. New wall systems were installed where changes to the existing pool geometry were desired. The result is a visually seamless pool with elegant lines and finishes.
2023
From the disappointment of the closure in the summer of 2021 to the joy of the reopening in the summer of 2023, Quakertown’s pools stand as a testament to the central role that water and its related activities play in social development. This is precisely why Myrtha Pools is increasingly dedicated to executing projects for local communities, viewing it as a genuine mission tied to collective well-being.
Myrtha Pools revitalized the main pool by re-lining existing panels, fixing gutters, and repainting faded areas. Additionally, Softwalk was introduced to enhance user experience and safety. Beyond the refurbishment of the existing pool, a shallower pool with games for youngsters and an area dedicated to individuals with reduced mobility was constructed. Both pools feature ‘beach‘ or zero-depth entrance to ensure comfort and safety.
