Stade Nautique Maurice-Thorez
The Stade Nautique Maurice-Thorez is situated in Montreuil, Seine-Saint-Denis district, and has been a cornerstone of the local community for decades. Constructed in 1961, it underwent a comprehensive renovation in 1997.
In early 2024, Myrtha Pools intervened in this complex by renovating the old pool using Myrtha RenovAction technology, which allows major work to be done without totally destroying the pre-existing pools, while offering technical advantages. The pool was equipped with a flip-up bulkhead, which allows multiple simultaneous configurations of the pool, depending on usage needs. In addition, Myrtha also provided Track Start blocks.
The pool, approved for water polo, has been designated as a training center for Olympic water polo players. Its versatile shape allows for the conduct of multiple disciplines. In addition to swimming and water polo, the facility is also suitable for artistic swimming.
The pool has been approved to host high-level competition in all three disciplines, meeting World Aquatics and FFN standards.
The project has also been well received by the local population, who will benefit from a renovated, high-level pool that will be ready for use for many years to come.
