The Wellesley Sports Center is the proud owner of the 2012 Olympic Trials pools.
The original 50-meter pool was reconfigured to be a 25-yard stretch pool with a 4′ bulkhead, creating a 10 lane 25-yard competition course and 13 cross-course 25-yard lanes.
The new pool also includes two 1m diving boards, ten starting blocks with a temperature of 80 degrees.
The smaller 3-lane teaching pool was also created using the original Olympic Trials pool, and is 25′ x 44′ with a depth of 4′ and a temperature of 86 degrees.
Wellesley is excited to partner with the premier swim program in the Greater Boston area, Charles River Aquatics, which will operate the aquatics center and its programs.
