Complexe Aquatique Sophia Antipolis Valbonne
Located in the city of Valbonne Sophia Antipolis, close to the Garbejaïre area, this multipurpose complex has been created to satisfy every users needs. More than 3,700sm of covered surface (and more than 10,000sm of uncovered area) offer the widest choice of aquatic services for leisure, fitness and wellness.
The complex is composed by different complementary areas and Myrtha Pools designed and built water spaces. Myrtha Pools installed a 6 lane pool, 25x15x2m, using Myrtha technology and combining skimmer and overflow gutter, a leisure pool 21,50×15,50m with variable depth 0,8 – 0,90- 1,35m using even in this case Myrtha technology and combining skimmer and overflow gutter, provided with an island, two fountains and 6 hydro-massage benches. This pool is connected with the external leisure and teaching pool for kids, 11×12,50×1,35m, provided as well with an island and hydro-massage inlets.
The complex is more than a simple water facility, in fact is a multipurpose complex provided with fitness center, wellness area and a restaurant. The external areas have been projected including beach volley courts and a solarium. All is built making the access for disabled possible.
For which concerns the architecture, the building seems to merge with the surrounding: architecture, materials and special solutions had the environment as common denominator. The energy required by the complex is partially provided by photovoltaic and heating systems. In this context Myrtha technology has been considered the best choice, since international studies certified it as a green technology.
