Three Myrtha Pools swimming pools
Modern, efficient and environmental-friendly: in the heart of Jerago con Orago, Varese province, the new municipality sport centre Palestra in Acqua Cele Daccò, opened last winter. The facility consists of 3 Myrtha swimming pools that allows the citizens of Jerago con Orago to enjoy sport and leisure time activities. The structure is named after the philanthropist, Celestina Pasquali Daccò member of the Fondazione Aldo e Cele Daccò per il Progresso, who gifted 80% of the facility cost to promote sport and leisure time activities in a state-of-the-art environmentally friendly facility.
The different centre areas
The facility Palestra in Acqua Cele Daccò is located within the 5,000 m2 of the recreational area of the Parco Onetto di Jerago con Orago. The facility is located on two floors: the first floor, about 850 m2, for the restoration area and a gym divided in a training room and a course room, the ground floor, about 1,700 m2, includes 3 indoor swimming pools all designed by Myrtha Pools.
The pools were designed to serve any specific requirements of people of any age: from the widest, 25 meters, six lanes for the FIN certified swimming competitions to the pool including a Jacuzzi, designed for fitness, water rehabilitation or hydrotherapy and then the smallest pool, for pre-natal and neonatal activities as well as therapy. Outdoor there is a fitted summer solarium accessible from the pools.
Environmental sustainability
The Palestra in Acqua Cele Daccò is a new and modern centre opened to everybody, offering excellent quality facilities and services. The centre is in fact environmental-friendly: it is fitted with a photovoltaic installation that covers 30% of the energy requirement of the facility. The three swimming pools made with the Myrtha technology, were also built taking the environment into account.
The swimming pools in details:
– The competition pool, 25 x 12.5 m, is FIN certified with Myrtha Track Start starting blocks
– The water fitness swimming pool, 14 x 7 m, includes a Jacuzzi and a therapy seat
– The recreational and neonatal activity swimming pool, 8 x 7 meters.
