Valencia 2000, European Championship (25m)
Myrtha Pools built the two swimming pools for the European Short Course Championships, which took place from 14 to 17 December 2000 at Palau Luis Puig Velodrome. The pools, both built using Myrtha modular technology, have been installed in the innermost area of the Velodrome, circumscribed by the track.
The 25 x 21 m pool, destined to the competition, was divided into eight competition lanes and equipped with two removable headwalls, water filtration, recirculation and disinfection systems, according to F.I.N.A. regulations.
The pools reserved to athletic training was built with the same features as the main pool, but smaller: 21x12x2.30 m and with six lanes. At the end of the Championships the two pools have been dismantled tobe reassembled in one big pool (50 x 21 m), permanently installed in Valencia.
