Myrtha Pools rides the wave of surf innovation at ADRENA Red Sea

There are projects that confirm a company’s capabilities, and others that define the next frontier. For Myrtha Pools, ADRENA is both. Developed by Red Sea Global as the centrepiece of an expansive adventure district on Saudi Arabia’s western coastline, the ADRENA Surf Lagoon is more than a wave pool. It is a controlled body of water, engineered by Myrtha Pools and Endless Surf for consistent, high-performance operation.

The ADRENA district is designed to redefine leisure through sport, a destination where adrenaline and architecture meet against one of the world’s most striking natural backdrops.

At its core lies the Endless Surf lagoon: over 200 metres long, powered by Endless Surf technology, and capable of generating consistent, programmable waves exceeding two metres in height. What sets this facility apart from conventional wave pools is not only its scale. ADRENA operates with treated seawater drawn directly from the Red Sea through a closed-loop system. The result is enhanced buoyancy and realism, offering the authentic feel of ocean surfing within a fully controlled environment.

With 46 underwater lights extending sessions into the evening, the lagoon functions as both an immersive experience and a performance venue. Myrtha Pools was responsible for the lagoon’s structure and waterproofing system, based on Myrtha Skin technology, which forms the foundation of the entire experience. The project once again demonstrates the ability to ensure durability and water clarity, even in a large-scale seawater environment. ADRENA is not the end of the story. It marks the opening wave of 2026, with more to follow.
