Red Whale Swim School

In the bustling Geneva train station, Eaux-Vives, the Red Whale Swim School stands as an example of urban aquatics innovation.

Designed by the creative minds at Manta Architects and built by Myrtha Pools, this state-of-the-art pool offers a remarkable blend of function and design. Heated to a welcoming 32°C, it features Myrtha Soft Floor and an anti-slip floor, ensuring comfort and safety for children.

The lightweight yet sturdy Myrtha modular stainless-steel structure was instrumental in the design and installation of this pool, which is located above a parking lot. Clean and safe water is ensured, while built-in lighting creates a serene and inviting atmosphere. Thoughtfully placed benches provide rest areas for families and children, making the pool accessible to all ages and offering a fresh perspective on what a swim school can be.

What truly sets this project apart is its unprecedented location inside a shopping mall situated within the Geneva train station, an innovative setting that makes this pool the only one in Europe to be installed in such an iconic, high-traffic public space.

Red Whale’s vision is clear: to teach as many children as possible lifesaving swimming techniques from an early age. With programmes tailored for babies from two months old, as well as children and prenatal classes, Red Whale Swim School prioritises safety, confidence and comfort in the water. The heated pool, combined with professional instructors and a child-friendly environment, ensures that young swimmers develop both their technical abilities and their self-assurance. Lessons are available in French and English, and Red Whale is accredited by the International Swim School Association.

The Red Whale Swim School at Geneva train station is a pioneering project that combines urban convenience with a vital public service, thanks to its partnership with Geneva schools. Through its collaboration with Myrtha Pools, this initiative is redefining the way cities integrate essential services into everyday spaces.
