The Newton White Athletic Center Natatorium at Johns Hopkins University has been renovated by Myrtha.
After completing Phase One in 2023, which introduced a stationary Myrtha bulkhead, the project moved into Phase Two, focused on a full refurbishment of the existing tank. Using RenovAction technology, the old concrete pool was upgraded without the need for demolition, reducing both time and costs. The original tiled walls were replaced with Myrtha stainless-steel panels, providing a modern and low-maintenance finish.
The bulkhead was also transformed into a movable system, allowing the pool to switch easily between a 25-yard course, a 25-meter course, a water polo course, and other program needs. The project was developed with aquatic consultant WTI and carried out by Myrtha distributor Main Line Commercial Pools.
